Been going there for years for all types of cars. Lovely people, kind and trust worthy. They're always happy to loan a car too if needed!
So I was quoted a approximate price for a service, when my girlfriend turned up to get her car it was about 65% more expensive despite no one phoning her to ask her permission to go ahead and do the things that were done to make it more expensive. That issue is something you could get over, a small administrative error but what proceeded beggars belief. Because it was so much more expensive my girlfriend simply queried it and was met with complete disdain by the owners sister (Penny I think). This woman was cantankerous, rude and lacked any customer service skills whatsoever. She argued, nodded her head and was so rude my girlfriend started crying, this was in front of her two young children. She dismissed 65 as nothing, huffed, puffed and sighed, and quoted their overheads all because my girlfriend queried the costs.This Penny was blaming me for not passing on the correct information to my girlfriend and told her that she should take responsibility for her own car!!!!!I would say that John, the owner was very understanding, handled it perfectly and gave a discount. He acted exactly like you would expect a small independent business to act, with superb customer service skills, and was even trying to placate his sister, the look on his face telling that he wanted her to be quiet!I then called her to explain that she has single handily had made my GF's customer experience an awful one. She then ranted at me for 5 minutes and interrupted, wouldn't let me speak and blamed everyone but herself. She even had the audacity to say, "Well that is your GF'S opinion!" - Yes Penny, the customer opinion, of which you, as a small independent business should be seeking a positive one at all times!!!! How this woman works in a customer facing role is totally staggering and I would suggest to John that he reviews her position.We will not be using this garage again, purely because of this woman. John was a perfect example of how you should behave, she was 100% the opposite.

Absolutely austoundingly fantastic experience. He drove to our House jump started our car and lent us the loan car. These are the people who really deserve our business.

Then came in to see John and he looked at problem before advising a repair instead. This took 30 minutes and cost 50.Completely trustworthy people who know their stuff. This local business deserves our support
